The Vedbæk Finds Museum is included on the Discover card, not Hop. It holds Mesolithic graves from around 5000 BC, among the most significant found anywhere in Europe.
The Discover card covers the museum and the train out. Before anything else: this is now described as a pop-up museum, so check it is open on the day you plan to go.
Seventeen graves from around 5000 BC, excavated a few kilometres away and shown at Gl. Holtegaard. Allow an hour.
Excavated at Vedbæk in the 1970s and dating from the Maglemose period, around 5000 BC. Burials that old, in that number, with grave goods intact, are among the most significant found anywhere in Europe — this is not a local curiosity.
The grave goods are the part that turns bones into people: what was thought worth sending with someone seven thousand years ago. Very little survives from the Danish Mesolithic at all, and almost nothing this personal.
Reviewers are consistent that the presentation is dated and the material is exceptional. That is worth knowing in advance: come for what is in the cases rather than for how it is shown, and it is a remarkable hour.
One thing to check before you set out, and one figure this page will not repeat. Details from the card issuer's listing and rudersdal.dk.
Holte is about 30 minutes north of Copenhagen by train. All of it is on the Discover card.
All three are included on the same card, so the only cost of adding them is the time. For the full list, see every attraction the Copenhagen Card covers.
French and Danish painting in a country house with a Zaha Hadid extension, and an art park in the grounds.
Karen Blixen's family home at Rungsted, kept as she lived in it, with a bird sanctuary and her grave in the grounds.
The Nordic region’s largest classic car centre, with more than 300 cars across 25,000 square metres.
The Discover card includes the museum and the train out to Holte, along with 80+ more attractions and unlimited public transport across the Capital Region. Check it is open before you travel.
The Copenhagen Card Discover covers entry and the train to Holte with it. No official admission price has been published — a visitor review reports one, which is not a source this site quotes prices from — so this page states no figure. The Hop card covers neither.
The Monday rule is not published anywhere we can check, so this page does not claim it either way. The bigger issue is that the card issuer now lists this as a pop-up museum, so opening may be irregular. Check before making the 30-minute journey.
Nothing needs booking. Show the QR code in the Copenhagen Card app at the desk and walk in — provided it is open, which is worth confirming first given the pop-up arrangement.
One scan per attraction applies, so this is a single visit per card. Ordrupgaard and the Karen Blixen Museum on the same coast each count as their own attraction and their own scan.
Show the live QR code in the Copenhagen Card app at the entrance and let staff scan it. Your booking confirmation email is not your card, and a screenshot of the QR code will not scan — it has to be the app itself, which works offline once activated.
