Family Questions

Questions families ask most

What age is free with the Copenhagen Card?

Infants aged 0–2 are completely free — no card needed for attractions or transport. Children aged 3–11 need their own card for attractions but are covered for transport (up to 2 per adult card). Youth aged 12–15 pay a discounted rate.

Can I add a child card to my existing booking?

No. All cards must be ordered at the same time. You cannot add children's cards to an existing booking. If you forget to order a child card, you will need to place a separate order — and the activation times cannot be synchronized.

What does 'youth' mean for Copenhagen Card pricing?

Youth refers to visitors aged 12–15. They pay a discounted rate — roughly 60% of the adult price. Children aged 3–11 pay an even lower rate. Youth are not free and need their own card.

Are Tivoli rides included with the card?

No. The card covers gardens entry only. Ride tickets cost extra — budget roughly €41–47 per person for unlimited rides. Some families skip the rides and just enjoy the gardens, especially during the Christmas season.
