Sankt Laurentius is included on the Discover card, not Hop. It is an underground medieval church beneath the main square in Roskilde, reached by steps from street level.
The Discover card covers the church and the train out to Roskilde. It publishes no admission price, which is worth explaining before anything else.
A medieval church that survived by being buried. You go down from Stændertorvet, the main square, into what is left of it. Allow half an hour.
The original tiled floor is still there, and it is the surface clergy and townspeople walked on before the church was lost above ground. Standing on it is a more direct connection to medieval Roskilde than most of what survives at street level.
Below the floor there is a crypt and a set of barred rooms, cold in a way the square above never is. The site carries accounts of unusual burials found here, and of the great fires that repeatedly took the town.
That is the whole appeal. Stændertorvet is an ordinary working market square with an entrance in it, and what is beneath the paving has been there the entire time. Small, quick, and unlike anything else on the card.
Two things the sources do not settle, and one honest expectation to set. Confirmed against museerne.dk.
Roskilde is about 26 minutes west of Copenhagen by train, then about 10 minutes on foot up to the square. All of it is on the Discover card.
All three are included on the same card, so the only cost of adding them is the time. For the full list, see every attraction the Copenhagen Card covers.
The burial church of the Danish monarchy since the fifteenth century — forty kings and queens, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Roskilde's own history, on the walk between the cathedral and the fjord.
Five original eleventh-century Viking ships raised from the fjord, with a boatyard building sailable reconstructions beside them.
The Discover card includes the church and the train out to Roskilde, along with 80+ more attractions and unlimited public transport across the Capital Region.
The Copenhagen Card Discover covers entry to the underground church, and the train to Roskilde with it. Sankt Laurentius does not publish an admission price, so this page states no figure and leaves it out of any break-even total. The Hop card excludes Roskilde entirely.
The Monday rule is not published anywhere we can check, so this page does not claim it either way. Check museerne.dk before travelling — Roskilde is about 26 minutes out by train plus a walk, so a closed door there costs more than a closed door in the centre.
Nothing needs booking. Show the QR code in the Copenhagen Card app at the desk and walk in. The entrance is on Stændertorvet itself and you go down from street level, so allow for steps if that matters.
One scan per attraction applies, so this is a single visit per card. It takes about half an hour, so that is rarely a constraint. Roskilde Cathedral, Roskilde Museum and the Viking Ship Museum each count as their own attraction and their own scan.
Show the live QR code in the Copenhagen Card app at the entrance and let staff scan it. Your booking confirmation email is not your card, and a screenshot of the QR code will not scan — it has to be the app itself, which works offline once activated.
