Mosede Fort is included on the Discover card, not Hop. It opens all year, and a free 30-minute guided introduction runs at noon on every open day.
The Discover card covers the museum and the train down. The guided introduction is included too, which is the part worth planning the day around.
Denmark's museum of the First World War, inside the coastal fort built to keep the country out of it. Allow an hour and a half.
Neutrality is a harder story than a battle, and this is the museum that tells it — how a small country stayed out of the First World War while building coastal forts in case that failed. Mosede is one of the forts, so the building is the argument.
The exhibition runs through around twenty themed rooms off a central corridor in the restored casemate building. It is dense rather than sprawling, which is why an hour and a half covers it properly.
A museum guide takes about thirty minutes through the casemates every open day at twelve, included in admission. It is the difference between reading the rooms and having them explained, and it costs nothing extra.
One good reason to arrive before noon, and unusually specific access detail. Confirmed against mosedefort.dk.
About 30 minutes south of Copenhagen by train to Karlslunde, then five minutes on foot. All of it is on the Discover card.
All three are included on the same card, so the only cost of adding them is the time. For the full list, see every attraction the Copenhagen Card covers.
The history of Køge, in the medieval market town the museum sits in.
Denmark’s only museum about art made for public space — the sketches and models behind works that stand outdoors.
Modern and contemporary art in a ship-like building on the beach at Ishøj, with a sculpture park around it.
The Discover card includes the museum, the noon guided tour and the train down, along with 80+ more attractions and unlimited public transport across the Capital Region.
The Copenhagen Card Discover covers entry, the thirty-minute guided introduction at noon, and the train to Karlslunde with it. The official prices page does not publish an adult figure, so this page states none. The Hop card covers neither the museum nor the journey.
The museum is open all year per mosedefort.dk, which is unusual among the card venues outside the city. The Monday rule specifically is not published, so this page does not claim it either way — check before travelling.
Nothing needs booking, and nothing can be. The noon guided introduction is included but cannot be reserved: places are limited and it is first come, first served, so arrive early enough to scan in before twelve.
One scan per attraction applies, so this is a single visit per card. Køge Museum and MAPS further down the line each count as their own attraction and their own scan.
Show the live QR code in the Copenhagen Card app at the entrance and let staff scan it. Your booking confirmation email is not your card, and a screenshot of the QR code will not scan — it has to be the app itself, which works offline once activated.
