MAPS is included on the Discover card, not Hop. It is in Køge, and it is Denmark’s only museum devoted to art made for public spaces.
The Discover card covers the museum and the 35-minute train to Køge. There is no admission price on this page, because the museum does not publish one.
The only museum in Denmark about art made for public space — what it takes to put a work in a street rather than a room. Allow an hour.
The pieces this museum is about are not in it. They are in squares and streets around the country, and what MAPS holds is the sketches, models and studies behind them — the thinking before the casting. It is a museum of process rather than product.
Public art gets walked past rather than looked at, and no other Danish museum takes it as a subject. Formerly KØS, this one does nothing else, which is why an hour here changes what you notice on the way back to the station.
A medieval market town on the coast south of Copenhagen, and a real one rather than a preserved one. The 35-minute train is covered on the Discover card, which makes the trip cost nothing beyond the time.
Two things the sources do not settle, and one that decides which card you need. Confirmed against koes.dk and the card issuer's listing.
Køge is about 35 minutes south of Copenhagen by train, and the museum is a short walk from the station. All of it is on the Discover card.
All three are included on the same card, so the only cost of adding them is the time. For the full list, see every attraction the Copenhagen Card covers.
The history of Køge, in the medieval market town the museum sits in.
A coastal fort turned museum, about Denmark keeping out of the First World War.
Modern and contemporary art in a ship-like building on the beach at Ishøj, with a sculpture park around it.
The Discover card includes the museum and the train down to Køge, along with 80+ more attractions and unlimited public transport across the Capital Region.
The Copenhagen Card Discover covers entry, and the train to Køge with it. MAPS publishes no adult admission price and the card issuer lists opening information only, so this page states no figure. The Hop card excludes Køge entirely — it does not cover day trips.
The Monday rule is not published anywhere we can check, so this page does not claim it either way. Check koes.dk before travelling, since Køge is about 35 minutes each way and a closed door costs most of a morning.
Nothing needs booking. Show the QR code in the Copenhagen Card app at the desk and walk in. The train to Køge is covered on the same card, so there is nothing to buy at either end of the journey.
One scan per attraction applies, so this is a single visit per card. Køge Museum in the same town counts as its own attraction and its own scan, which is what turns the trip into a half-day rather than one stop.
Show the live QR code in the Copenhagen Card app at the entrance and let staff scan it. Your booking confirmation email is not your card, and a screenshot of the QR code will not scan — it has to be the app itself, which works offline once activated.
