The Circus Museum is included on the Discover card, not Hop. It is in Hvidovre, and Circus Fun runs every Sunday morning with a professional circus artist.
The Discover card covers the museum and the train out to Hvidovre. It also covers the thing most people would assume costs extra.
Danish circus history at Hvidovre, in a museum built to be climbed on rather than read. Allow an hour and a half, or add two more on a Sunday.
From 10:30 to 12:00 every Sunday, a professional circus artist runs juggling, tightwire and trapeze in the Fægtesalen hall behind the museum. All ages, and included in what the card already covers. It also runs during Danish school holidays, except at Christmas when the museum closes.
Costumes to try on, a tightwire, a trapeze and a playroom. This is not a collection behind glass with a children's corner attached — the trying-things part is the museum, which is a rarer thing than it sounds.
Children can take a trail around the exhibition and collect a prize at the ticket counter afterwards. Small, and the sort of detail that turns an hour into a willing hour.
One reason to go on a Sunday rather than any other day, and two things this page cannot confirm. Details from the card issuer's listing and forstadsmuseet.dk.
Hvidovre, about 20 minutes west of Copenhagen by train. Inside the Discover card's transport zone, and outside what the Hop card does.
All three are included on the same card, so the only cost of adding them is the time. For the full list, see every attraction the Copenhagen Card covers.
The work of Henry Heerup, who made sculpture out of scrap for most of the twentieth century, in a small museum at Rødovre.
Copenhagen Zoo in Frederiksberg — the most expensive single attraction on the card without one, and open every day of the year.
A former underground reservoir under Søndermarken, showing one large site-specific installation at a time.
The Discover card includes the museum, Circus Fun on a Sunday morning and the train out to Hvidovre, along with 80+ more attractions and unlimited public transport across the Capital Region.
The Copenhagen Card Discover covers entry and the train to Hvidovre, and Circus Fun on Sunday mornings is included rather than sold separately. The museum does not publish an adult admission price, so this page states no figure. The Hop card does not cover Hvidovre.
The Monday rule is not published anywhere we can check, so this page does not claim it either way — check before travelling, since Hvidovre is about 20 minutes out. The day that matters most here is Sunday, when Circus Fun runs from 10:30 to 12:00.
Nothing needs booking, including Circus Fun. Show the QR code in the Copenhagen Card app at the desk and walk in. The train out is covered on the same card, so there is nothing to buy at either end.
One scan per attraction applies, so this is a single visit per card. If Circus Fun is the reason you are going, use the scan on a Sunday morning rather than a weekday afternoon.
Show the live QR code in the Copenhagen Card app at the entrance and let staff scan it. Your booking confirmation email is not your card, and a screenshot of the QR code will not scan — it has to be the app itself, which works offline once activated.
