The Cisterns are included on both cards. Adult entry is €16 (120 DKK) without one. The venue closes from December to February and opens Mondays in June, July and August.
Both cards cover entry. The thing to check is not what is included but whether the venue is open at all when you are here.
A former drinking-water reservoir under a park, emptied and given over to art. One large site-specific installation at a time, and it fills the whole space.
Four thousand square metres of vaulted brick under Søndermarken, held up by rows of columns, with water still dripping from the roof and pooling on the floor. It is dark, cold and completely unlike any other gallery in the city.
The Cisterns commission a single artist to fill the whole reservoir, and the work changes roughly once a year. That means the visit is different each season and there is no permanent collection to fall back on.
The park on top is free and open all year, with the glass pyramids that light the reservoir set into the lawn. Frederiksberg Gardens and the zoo are directly across Roskildevej.
This is the most seasonal venue on the card, and the one most likely to be shut when you turn up. Confirmed against cisternerne.dk.
Frederiksberg, about 15 minutes out from the centre. Entry is on both cards; the journey is only on one.
All three are included on the same card, so the only cost of adding them is the time. For the full list, see every attraction the Copenhagen Card covers.
One of the oldest zoos in Europe, with the Arctic Ring polar bear tunnel and Norman Foster's Elephant House. Open every day of the year.
Devoted to Robert Storm Petersen, the cartoonist most Danes grew up with, and to humour and satire more broadly. Small and easy to fit in.
The old Carlsberg brewery reopened as a museum of the company, the family and Danish brewing, in the district the brewery built. Includes a drink at the end.
Entry is €16 per adult (120 DKK) without a card. Both cards include it — check the dates first, since it shuts from December to February — along with 80+ more attractions and unlimited public transport.
Entry is free on both the Discover and Hop cards, covering the underground galleries and whatever installation is running. Adult admission without a card is €16 (120 DKK); under-27s pay 90 DKK and under-18s are free.
The Cisterns close on Mondays for most of the year, though they do open on Mondays in June, July and August. They also shut entirely through December, January and February. Copenhagen Zoo, directly across Roskildevej, opens every day of the year and is the obvious substitute.
Nothing needs booking. Walk down the staircase in Søndermarken and show the QR code in the Copenhagen Card app at the entrance. Do that before you go underground — there is no phone signal inside, so the app needs to be open and activated first.
One scan per attraction is the rule on every card type, so The Cisterns can be visited once. Leaving and coming back the same day means buying a separate ticket at the door. Plan the visit as a single stretch rather than splitting it across a day.
Show the live QR code in the Copenhagen Card app at the entrance, before you descend — there is no phone signal underground, and a screenshot will not scan. The app works offline once activated, but the scan happens at the top of the stairs.
