Munkeruphus is included on the Discover card, not Hop. Adult entry is €12 (90 DKK) without one. Opening hours vary, so check before travelling.
The Discover card covers entry and the journey. What it cannot cover is the risk of arriving on a day it is shut.
Contemporary art and design in a former private house above the beach in North Zealand, with the Kattegat immediately below it. An hour covers it.
Munkeruphus was somebody’s seaside home before it was an exhibition space, and it still reads like one. Work is shown in rooms rather than halls, which suits the scale of what is usually on.
Contemporary art, craft and design, changing through the year with no permanent collection. What is on when you visit is the entire visit, so the programme is worth checking rather than skimming.
The garden runs down towards Munkerup Strand and the sea beyond it. In summer this is as much a reason to make the journey as the exhibition is.
This is the one venue on the card where checking before you leave matters more than anything else on the page. Confirmed against munkeruphus.dk and the 2026 Copenhagen museums folder.
The North Zealand coast at Dronningmølle, about an hour from Copenhagen. The whole journey is on the Discover card.
All three are included on the same card, so the only cost of adding them is the time. For the full list, see every attraction the Copenhagen Card covers.
Rudolph Tegner's own concrete mausoleum on open heath, with fourteen bronzes standing in the landscape around it.
Hamlet's castle at Helsingør, with the casemates and Holger the Dane beneath the courtyards.
Modern art in pavilions running down to the Øresund, with a sculpture park and Sweden across the water.
Entry is €12 per adult (90 DKK) without a card, and the train out is covered too. The Discover card includes both, along with 80+ more attractions and unlimited public transport across the Capital Region.
Entry is free on the Copenhagen Card Discover, which also covers the train and bus to Dronningmølle. Adult admission without a card is €12 (90 DKK); students pay 50 DKK and under-18s are free. The Hop card does not include it.
Munkeruphus does not keep fixed opening hours — they follow the exhibition programme — and the 2026 museums folder states no Monday rule. We have not been able to confirm one, so check munkeruphus.dk before travelling rather than relying on this page.
Nothing needs booking. Show the QR code in the Copenhagen Card app at the desk and walk in. The train and bus 362 are both covered on the same card, so nothing needs buying at either end.
One scan per attraction applies, so this is a single visit per card. At an hour each way plus a two-kilometre walk it is usually paired with the Rudolph Tegner Museum nearby rather than made a trip on its own.
Show the live QR code in the Copenhagen Card app at the entrance and let staff scan it. Your booking confirmation email is not your card, and a screenshot of the QR code will not scan — it has to be the app itself, which works offline once activated.
