Copenhagen Contemporary is included on both cards. Adult entry is €19 (140 DKK) without one, and it is closed on Mondays. Under-18s pay 25 DKK here.
Both cards cover the adult ticket. Children are the exception here, and it is the only thing on this page that surprises people.
Installation art at a scale nothing in the city centre could hold, in an industrial hall out at Refshaleøen. Allow an hour and a half, plus the bus.
Seven thousand square metres of former shipyard hall, with ceiling height to match. Artists are given room to make work that would not fit anywhere else in Denmark, and that is the entire proposition.
The programme leans towards installation and video rather than things hung on walls — pieces you move through rather than stand in front of. It changes substantially through the year.
The old shipyard district has become the city’s industrial edge — food halls, harbour swimming and open water. The gallery is a reason to come out here, and the area is a reason to stay.
One charge here works differently from the rest of the card, and it catches families out. Confirmed against copenhagencontemporary.org and the 2026 Copenhagen museums folder.
Refshaleøen, at the end of the old shipyard peninsula. Entry is on both cards; the bus that gets you there is only on one.
It covers Copenhagen Contemporary along with 80+ other attractions and all public transport.
Only going here? The card pays for itself across several attractions, not one. If Copenhagen Contemporary is the only thing on your list, a single ticket is the cheaper buy.
All three are included on the same card, so the only cost of adding them is the time. For the full list, see every attraction the Copenhagen Card covers.
The corkscrew spire on Christianshavn, with 400 steps and an external staircase to a gilded globe at the top.
The black granite extension to the Royal Danish Library, cantilevered over the harbour with a full-height atrium.
The rooms the Royal Family still uses for state occasions, above the ruins of the medieval castle on Slotsholmen.
Entry is €19 per adult (140 DKK) without a card, and under-18s pay 25 DKK. Both cards cover the adult ticket, along with 80+ more attractions and unlimited public transport.
Both cards cover adult entry, which is €19 (140 DKK) without one. Students pay 95 DKK. Under-18s are charged 25 DKK here rather than admitted free, which is unusual among card venues and worth budgeting for.
Copenhagen Contemporary closes every Monday and opens Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 6pm, with Thursday running until 9pm. The Black Diamond across the harbour opens every day and is the nearest Monday substitute.
Nothing needs booking. Show the QR code in the Copenhagen Card app at the desk and walk in. Bus 2A out to Refshaleøen is covered on the Discover card, so there is no ticket to buy at either end.
One scan per attraction applies, so this is a single visit per card. The programme is entirely temporary rather than permanent, so what is on when you visit is what you get — worth checking before making the trip out.
Show the live QR code in the Copenhagen Card app at the entrance and let staff scan it. Your booking confirmation email is not your card, and a screenshot of the QR code will not scan — it has to be the app itself, which works offline once activated.
